Green Dot One of Three Finalists in the Samsung Extreme Tech Challenge #XTC2020 in San Francisco

Green Dot Bioplastics selected as a top three finalist in the Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC®)

Green Dot Bioplastics, NovoNutrients, and Advanced Animal Diagnostics were selected as the top three finalists out of 188 startup companies in the Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC®) in the San Francisco region.

The Extreme Tech Challenge is aimed to discover and support, “new technologies and innovations to solve the world’s most extreme problems. Drawing from the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, XTC® partners will encourage the world’s most promising entrepreneurs to develop solutions to the greatest challenges facing humankind. The top finalists will pitch to a panel of investors for potential investments.”  The XTC® is hosted by the Samsung Catalyst Fund and is supported by Cisco, Ford Motor Company, Silicon Valley Bank, Zoom, Cadence, and several other organizations.

On May 4th, 2020, Green Dot and 30 regional finalists from around the globe will compete at the finals round bootcamp in Paris. The finals bootcamp will provide world-class mentorship and training as well as connect startups with leading corporations and venture capitalists. On June 11, the top 10 companies at the bootcamp will be selected to pitch on stage at Viva Technology 2020 in Paris to celebrity investors who will select a winner for each category: Agtech, Food, & Water; Cleantech & Energy; Education; Enabling Technologies; Fintech; Healthcare; Transportation & Smart Cities. The overall winner will receive an opportunity for investment from the Samsung Catalyst Fund and other supporting partners.
